Scorpius put down the book he was reading and sighed. The Manor was unusually quiet, something he hated. Normally, his mother was doing something somewhere, Izzy was floo calling one of her friends or something, and father was either with mother or doing work in his study. So there was never total quiet, that was for sure. But, right now, father was at work, mother was at work, and Izzy was at school, opting not to come home for the weekend. He had felt like getting away from it all just for a day or two. He had finished all his homework, left it all in his dorm before he had came, and was just plain bored. Lack of things to occupy his attention was always a problem Scorp dealt with…boredom just seemed drawn to him.
Scorp looked around his room in a pathetic manner. It wasn’t like his room wasn’t full of stuff. It wasn’t airy like every other room in the house. His had tons of books, a desk full of papers and other pieces of forgotten schoolwork, and his dressers were full of clothes. That was probably the only part of his room that he kept clean. Sure, with his personality, he should’ve been a lot neater, but he guessed he had picked up his messy habits from his father, as his mother was a total neat freak. He got up and went downstairs, deciding that he might be able to find some type of entertainment down there. How wrong he was. He got himself a class of water and went into the living room, picking up the Daily Prophet. It was all ridiculous news, nothing much to report. Something about some wizard dying when his house collapsed, something about another person going into St. Mungo’s…all normal things.
Scorpius propped his feet on top of it, passing through the newspaper quickly. It seemed like Rita Skeeter wasn’t getting as many hard hitting stories as she wanted. He had been told of her and her mischievous ways when his parents had been at school, and always had to laugh. The woman was the kind of person that gave blondes a bad name. He wondered if she was natural or had dyed it…Scorp shook his head. He really had been around his sister too much lately. He’d be fine, he was sure. He just had to socialize…ick. He hated too many people. That was probably why he was so close with his twin, she wasn’t like him at all, sure, but they had some semblance of understanding. He threw the paper onto the table and looked around the room. Ugh, why was the house so quiet? Surely somebody must’ve been coming soon…he hoped.

Draco ran a hand through his blonde hair, messing it up in the process. Work was becoming stressful, just when they thought they had gotten a break through, it came back as false information. Sure he loved his job, but he hated not being able to talk about it outside the ministry. He sighed as he sat at his desk, shuffling through the large pile of papers on his desk, he made sure all of it was completed before filling it away in the appropriate files. His team of witches and wizards had worked hard, like everyday and decided that he'd give them an early mark. Maybe the stress wouldn't be so bad tomorrow.
The blonde locked up his office and headed to Hermione's department. With a kiss on her cheek he had been told that she wasn't going to finish until later, saying something about wanting to stay back. He knew not to persuade her to finish early and so he left her to do whatever work she needed to do.
He flooed home, hearing the eerie silence of the place, the only sound that could be heard was the house elves that popped in and out of rooms, cleaning and doing god knows what in there. Throwing his bag down on his bedroom floor, he loosed his tie, throwing that on the bed as he moved to the bathroom as he started the shower before undressing himself completely. The water on his skin was soothing and if he could, he'd stay in the shower for hours. He knew he couldn't, Hermione would be home soon he hoped and so he cleaned himself and stepped out, using a drying spell instead of the towel and dressing in clothes that were more comfortable.
It was peaceful not having Isabella and Scorpius around, it gave him more time to spend with his beautiful wife alone, together. He entered the kitchen, the house elves stopped and regarded him for a moment before he asked them to make a special dinner for Hermione and himself. Ever since Hermione had insisted that he pay the house elves, they had been much nice to him, doing things without hesitation nor complaining.
Upon entering the living room, he froze for a second before composing himself and sitting down in his favorite recliner chair, putting his feet up. "What are you doing home Scorpius?" he asked, not bothering to wait for an answer before continuing, "Is Hogwarts becoming boring, you know all you have to do is ask and we'll get you transfered to Durmstrang." He closed his mouth as an elf appeared, placing a cup of steaming tea on the table before him before leaving.
