The year is 1965. Tom Riddle's time at Hogwarts has passed, and now a new generation is attending Hogwarts; Voldemort has not yet risen to power, and the Marauders are still in nursery school. Get the picture?
Say that Tom Riddle somehow managed to get that job at Hogwarts. He's using his spot at Hogwarts to gain followers. Some of the students are easily swayed, and begin to sink into the Dark Arts. Professor Riddle gives these students special tutoring on the side, disguised as remedial DADA tutoring. Others are turned off to Professor Riddle, and still others are oblivious to what is happening around them. Things are starting to happen at Hogwarts that haven't happened since the 1940s. Students (and professors, for that matter) are starting to become more and more divided. The secret training sessions can't go unnoticed for much longer.
A few months have passed, and Professor Riddle's 'DADA tutoring' has gone over quite well, especially with students who share the same beliefs as him and/or express an interest in the Dark Arts. Professor Riddle, however, is not content to have his students merely practicing the Dark Arts in the Room of Requirement. He wants his students to put their abilities into practice.
This is just the opportunity that many students are waiting for. The key, of course, is to not get caught. Their job is to wreak havoc around the school. Of course, hitting Muggleborns is the main goal of most of these students. Already, there has been an attack in the library, involving a Gryffindor boy getting trapped inside of a book. Unfortunately, this is only the beginning.
Meanwhile, other students have been getting cold feet about Professor Riddle. While they feel drawn to the Dark Arts, they're put off by the extremes that Professor Riddle is taking. Will these students remain silent, and go along with Professor Riddle's requests as they grow increasingly more demanding and dangerous? Or will they gather up the courage to tell someone about what is happening?
Only time will tell. But things are growing ever more chaotic at Hogwarts. Many are in a panic. With the news reaching parents' ears and eyes, mothers and fathers are considering pulling their children from what is now seen as an unsafe environment. So far Professor Riddle is succeeding in his goals. The school is growing more divided (and, as the school grows more divided, their families grow more divided, and the wizarding world grows more divided). War is brewing in the air.
Things are getting more and more suspicious at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Students and professors are falling ill with a mysterious disease that temporarily deprives them of their magical ability. Clearly, this is bound to cause a few problems in a school for witchcraft and wizardry.
The odd part? Only Hogwarts seems to be affected by this mysterious illness. Even more peculiar, not many Slytherins seem to be falling ill with this strange malady. Is this simply a new sickness rising up to threaten the wizarding world, or is something more sinister behind it? There are certainly a few people who are pointing fingers in a certain direction. What's worse - Will this strain evolve into something that invokes a more permanent effect?
In addition to all of this, the students at Hogwarts have to deal with normal teenage stresses, what is happening in the world around them (the 1960s had some pretty big events going on), and all of the changes in the world around them too. How will your character react? One thing is for sure - Students have a lot more to worry about than homework and who's dating who now.

Note: We do have canons, but we are mostly built off of original characters. Tom Riddle is a cannon we are in big need of. KThnx.
